50 Billion Yuan Modern Service Projects “Throwing Embroidered Balls” in HK

In the morning of November 1, the 2008 Nanjing-HK Modern Service Cooperation Development Communications was held in HK which was organized by Nanjing Municipal government. The more than 50 projects with total investment of over 50 billion Yuan have evoked strong repercussions in HK. Jiang Hongkun, Mayor of Nanjing, and Zhao Xiaojiang, Vice Mayor of Nanjing attended the Communications.
The modern service projects this time that Nanjing is going to promote in HK have greater scale and quantity than before. They have five classifications: inviting investments on stockholders’ right and management right, park construction, integral development construction, inviting investments on parks and buildings, including key projects such as reconstructing the Jinling Dabaoen Temple Remains Park, constructing the scenic belt of Muyanbinjiang, developing the downtown area of Jiangbei new city area and inviting investments on Konggang Tax Protection Logistic Center, etc.
The meeting invited many institutions, such as the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and HK General Chamber of Commerce, etc. as well as over 70 famous corporations in HK in the field of financing investment, communications and logistics, science and technology R&D and real estate, such as Citibank, Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd, Henderson, BOC International (China) Limited, BEA, Morgan Stanley, HSBC and PhoenixTV, etc. Medias also attended the meeting. All of them expressed their great interests on the projects this time and they had positive attitudes towards the future development of Nanjing’s modern service industries. They hoped that Nanjing could go on expanding channels for cooperation so they would seek for more cooperation opportunities with Nanjing in wider fields.
